Build a tagged campaign URL
Paste the address and fill in the campaign details. Existing parameters are kept, values are encoded properly, and you are told when a tag already there gets replaced.
Where the traffic comes from: an ad platform, a newsletter or a site.
The kind of channel: paid click, email, social.
The campaign name; keep it the same as in your ad account.
The campaign's id, which keeps one campaign on one row.
The paid keyword.
Tells two creatives in the same campaign apart.
Your tagged link
Type an address and the tagged link appears here.
Values are case sensitive: tagging one campaign two different ways splits it into two rows in your reports.
Tag ready. What about the campaign?
Mecrio sets the campaign up, publishes it and gathers the results in one place — links included.
Mecrio is in early access right now: leave your details and we will get in touch when your turn comes.
One link, one job
It joins your address and values into one link you can copy. It does not visit, shorten or store the address.
What this tool does
- Keeps the parameters already on the address.
- Says clearly when it replaces a tag that was already there.
- Encodes spaces and special characters correctly for a URL.
What it does not do
- It does not shorten links or open the address to check it.
- It does not add the platforms' own auto-tagging codes.
- It will not design your naming convention; consistency stays with you.
About campaign tags
Does capitalisation matter?
Yes. The official guidance states that values are case sensitive: tag one source two different ways and your report shows two rows. Lowercase everywhere is the simplest habit.
Which fields do I really need?
The guidance says to always use three: source, medium and campaign. The others are for finer breakdowns, and any field you leave blank is simply not added.
Is my link stored anywhere?
No. The address is assembled in your browser and nothing is left behind when you close the page.
Where the numbers on this page come from
All of them from the platform's own documentation. Follow the link and read the same line yourself.
