Set up Pinterest ad campaigns from one place
Reach people who come to Pinterest to discover ideas, plan and shop. Mecrio turns your image, video or carousel into a Pin for your ad and checks for what Pinterest won't accept before the campaign is created.
When is Pinterest Ads a good fit, and when isn't it?
Pinterest is where people discover new ideas, plan and shop, and Pinterest says the number one reason people use it is to find new products and brands. Ads are regular Pins that you pay to place where people are most likely to see them: their home feed, category feeds and relevant search results. That makes it a strong fit for products people plan ahead for and choose by how they look, and for sending that interest on to your website. Through Mecrio you can run image, video and carousel Pins and build the audience from interests, keywords, locations, age and gender. It is a weaker fit when your product is hard to show in a picture, when people buy it on impulse rather than plan it, or when you mainly need app installs, because Mecrio doesn't set up Pinterest app campaigns.
How Pinterest Ads works in Mecrio
Once you approve the campaign, Mecrio first creates the Pin from your image, video or carousel, title, description and link. It then creates the campaign (budget and dates), the ad group (audience, where the ad appears and bid) and the ad that promotes the Pin, all paused in your own Pinterest ad account, so nothing spends until you start it. Starting it from Mecrio switches the ad group and ad on too. Later you can change the budget, dates, audience, bid, link and button from Mecrio; the Pin's own text and visuals are changed in Pinterest's own ads manager.
A Pinterest Ads campaign in four steps
Set up
Tell Mecrio about your product or service and Mecrio AI drafts the copy and audience for you to edit and approve. Create visuals in Mecrio or use your own.
Check and approve
Mecrio checks your ads before they go live and tells you if anything is missing or needs a fix. You preview how they'll look on each platform and approve when you're ready.
Publish
Once approved, your campaign is set up in your own ad account on each platform and waits until you start it. You decide where and when it goes live.
Manage
Bring in the campaigns already running on your platforms. Update budgets, dates and targeting while they're live, and compare results in one report.
Which campaign objectives can you set up?
The objective you pick is set up as its Pinterest Ads equivalent. The table shows what Mecrio can set up end to end on this platform.

What gets checked for Pinterest Ads before you publish?
A setting the platform won't accept is named before the campaign is created, along with where to fix it.
- Regions and postal codes can't be mixed in one Pinterest ad group. If you pick both, you're told before anything is created, so you can keep one or the other.
- A carousel needs 2 to 5 cards, all in the same shape. Pinterest refuses mixed shapes, so a card with a different shape is named by number before publishing.
- Pinterest ties bidding to the objective: a target cost only for sales, for example, and only automatic bidding for video views. Mecrio offers just the methods your objective allows.
- Your Pin is created before the campaign. If Pinterest refuses the Pin, for example because a video is still processing, nothing else is created and you're told why.
Pinterest Ads: frequently asked questions
Will the ad's Pin show up on my Pinterest profile?
Not among your public boards. Mecrio saves it to a protected board used only for ads, and Pinterest shows protected boards only to you, at the bottom of your profile.
Can I advertise on Pinterest from Türkiye?
Yes, but Pinterest doesn't let advertisers in every country open an ad account directly. In Türkiye the account is opened through Pinterest's advertising partner; once your business account can access it, it shows up in Mecrio when you connect Pinterest.
What if my Pinterest account doesn't track sales yet?
Pinterest won't accept the sales objective unless your account tracks matching results, such as purchases or sign-ups. Mecrio then sets the campaign up to optimize for clicks and tells you; if you chose target-cost bidding, which clicks can't use, no campaign is created and you're told what to change.
Do I need a Pinterest business account?
Yes. Pinterest only lets business accounts run ads. When you connect Pinterest, Mecrio lists the ad accounts your business account can use, including ones another business has shared with you.
