Where AdEspresso is stronger
- Split testing on Facebook and Instagram. AdEspresso is known for split testing and optimisation, with inspector breakdowns and split testing analysis in every plan.
- Client approval. Agencies can have clients approve campaigns before they go live, and higher plans add white-label reports, view-only access and mandatory campaign approval.
- Automation for routine work. All plans include automated promotion of Facebook posts, contact sync for lead campaigns, customised performance triggers and automatic optimisation. Mecrio does not run automatic rules.
- Learning and expert help. AdEspresso offers guides and courses, and its Enterprise plan includes a dedicated Facebook marketing consultant.
Where Mecrio is different
- Nine platforms, not one family. Besides Facebook and Instagram, Mecrio sets up and manages campaigns on Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat and X. Supported campaign types differ by platform.
- Checks before publishing. Text limits, media sizes and platform rules are flagged for every platform before a campaign goes live.
- Approval-first AI. Mecrio AI, built on Anthropic's Claude, answers questions with your own campaign data and prepares changes. Nothing changes until you approve.
- One report across platforms. Results use one set of formulas, and metrics that cannot be added up, such as reach, are not summed. Google Analytics 4 and Search Console can be connected too.
- Creative Studio. Mecrio generates ad images and videos with models from Higgsfield, OpenAI and Google.
What both have in common
Both tools create campaigns in your own ad account, and you keep paying the platform for your ads. AdEspresso says campaigns created through it stay visible in Facebook Ads Manager, and Mecrio creates campaigns paused in your own account, so nothing spends until you start them. Both can also import campaigns you already run.
Who should choose which
Choose AdEspresso if Facebook and Instagram are your only channels, you run many split tests and you need client approval and white-label reporting.
Choose Mecrio if you advertise on more than Meta, want one pre-publish check and one report across platforms, and prefer an AI that prepares changes for your approval.
